We have posted a new version of the RS Games Client for Mac. Mac users will need to download the new version to continue playing. We sincerely apologize for the delay in releasing a fix for our Mac Users, but technical difficulties prevented us from building the new version sooner. Download the new version from the RS Games Client page. Note: Auto-update is still not supported on the Mac. We are working on this, but wanted to release the new version as quickly as possible so Mac users are able to play.
We hope to have a Linux version posted shortly.

(Message Below Posted on July 4th)
As you probably know, RS Games experienced some downtime between July 3 and July 4, and we wanted to explain what caused the outage and how we plan to avoid this in the future. Airshock, the host of the RS Games server, planned to migrate to a new server. Something went wrong during the migration that caused us to lose access to our database. We decided, in order to minimize downtime and potential data loss, to move RS Games to a backup server. Unfortunately, several things went wrong during the move that resulted in the prolonged downtime of the server. RS Games Client 1.4, the version that all of you were running, was hard-coded to connect to the Airshock server, and there was no way for us to change it to connect to our backup server. Thus, we decided to push the beta version of the client to all windows users via auto-update. The client has been threw two rounds of testing. It may have some small issues but is stable for the most part. The main improvements in this version are in stability and speed of the program. We have rewritten all of our networking code to make it faster and more responsive. Additionally, we have added login music and sounds for menu navigation. We planned to release this update in a few weeks, but due to these unforseen circumstances we decided to release it early. If you find any issues with the new client, please let us know and we will fix them as soon as we can. There is no Mac or Linux build at this time, but we hope to post those to the website soon (unfortunately, there will be no auto-update for Mac or Linux). If any Windows users are having issues with auto-update, a full installer will be posted on the website soon. We will also have the web client and account manager back online within the next day or two. We sincerely apologize for the lengthy downtime. We have learned quite a bit and will be taking steps to prevent this from happening in the future. December 18, 2011 December 18, 2011
